Deleting your data
There are two different things you might want, so both are below: removing one connected account, or removing your Vantr account entirely.
Disconnect one account (Instagram, Facebook, Threads or any other)
This removes Vantr’s access to that platform and deletes the stored token, the profile details and the posts imported from it. Your Vantr account and everything else stays as it is.
- 1
Sign in and open your channels
Go to Settings → Channels. - 2
Disconnect it
Open the menu beside the account and choose Disconnect. - 3
Revoke on the platform too, if you want to be thorough
Disconnecting in Vantr invalidates the token on our side. You can also remove Vantr from Facebook under Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, and from Instagram under Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
Delete your Vantr account
This is permanent, and it is self-serve — you don’t need to email anyone or wait for us to action it.
- 1
Open your settings
Go to Settings while signed in. - 2
Choose Delete account
It sits at the bottom of the page. You’ll be asked to type your email address to confirm, so it cannot happen by accident. - 3
Confirm
Select Delete permanently. The account is removed immediately and you are signed out.
If you own a workspace that other people are still members of, Vantr will stop you and say so — deleting would take their work with it. Transfer the workspace or remove the members first, then delete.
What gets deleted, and when
- Connected platform tokens — deleted as soon as you disconnect the platform or close the account.
- Account and workspace data — deleted when you close the account.
- Content, drafts and scheduled posts — within 30 days of closure.
- Anything already published to a platform — Vantr cannot remove this. A post that went out to Instagram lives on Instagram, and you delete it there.
The full retention table is in the privacy policy.
