What it is
How brand deals, from first email to paid works
A pipeline for sponsorships. Each deal holds the brand, the contact, the money, the stage it is at, and the deliverables you have promised, so nothing lives only in your head or in a thread you will not find again.
Deals move through stages that reflect what actually happens: a conversation, an agreed price, a signed contract, work delivered, an invoice, money in. Stages are derived from the real state rather than dragged around by hand.
Deals can start from a forwarded email. Send a brand's first message to your Vantr address and it becomes a deal with the brand, the money and the deliverables already pulled out of the text.
Why it matters
The problem underneath it
Sponsorship money is lost in the admin, not the negotiation. A deliverable nobody logged, an invoice nobody sent, a deadline that passed while the brand went quiet. None of that is a creative problem and all of it costs real money.
It also changes what you can charge. Knowing what you agreed to last time with the same brand is the difference between quoting from memory and quoting from a record.
Who it is for
And who it is not for
Creators with more than one deal at a time
The point at which remembering stops working.
Anyone who has been paid late
Usually not because the brand refused, but because the invoice went out three weeks after the work did.
Creators doing non-social work
Shoots, auditions and agency work fit the same pipeline, including commission handled as a deductible expense.
Alternatives
What people use instead
Some of these are genuinely the right answer. It depends on whether your posting is attached to money yet.
A spreadsheet
The most common answer and a perfectly good one at two or three deals a year. It does not chase anybody or tell you a deadline is tomorrow.
A general-purpose CRM
Built for sales teams working leads, which is a different shape from a creator owing three videos. You spend the first week deleting fields.
Your email inbox
Where every deal starts, and where the details stay until you need them under a deadline.
Questions
The things people ask first
Is this a CRM?
It does the job people mean when they ask for a creator CRM, but it is built around deliverables and payment rather than a sales funnel. Inside Vantr it is called Deals, because that is what it holds.
Can I forward a brand email and have it become a deal?
Yes. Each workspace gets its own forwarding address, and a forwarded brand email is read for the brand, the fee and the deliverables. Newsletters and marketing mail are filtered out before they can become deals.
Does it handle contracts?
Yes. A contract can be drafted from the deal, sent to the brand, and signed in the browser, and the deal advances when it is signed.
What if the brand pays in a different currency?
Each workspace has a currency and totals never mix currencies, because there is no exchange-rate guessing in the app. A figure you see is a figure that was actually agreed.
