Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Effective date
- July 2026
- Applies to
- Vantr, and everyone using it
How free trials convert, when subscriptions renew, how to cancel, and when you get money back — including the statutory withdrawal rights of consumers in the EU, EEA and UK.
1.Scope
This Policy explains how billing, cancellation and refunds work for Vantr subscriptions. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Nothing in this Policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country of residence. Where this Policy and that law conflict, the law prevails.
2.Free trial
New accounts may be offered a free trial. We will tell you the length of the trial before it starts, and you are not charged during it.
Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial converts automatically into a paid subscription and your payment method is charged for the first billing period.
You can cancel at any point during the trial from your account settings. Cancelling during the trial means you are never charged.
Free trials are limited to one per customer. We may decline a trial where an account appears to be a repeat trial for the same person or organisation.
3.Billing and renewal
Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose, and renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
Payment is taken by Stripe on the renewal date using the payment method on file. If a payment fails we will retry and email you; if it continues to fail, the subscription may be suspended and then cancelled.
We will email a receipt for each successful payment. Invoices are also available from your billing settings.
Where we change the price of a plan, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice before the change takes effect at their next renewal, and can cancel beforehand.
4.Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account settings, with no cancellation fee and without contacting support.
Cancellation stops future renewals. Your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. We do not pro-rate a partial period on cancellation, except where section 5 or 6 applies.
After the paid period ends, your account moves to a closed state. Export your data before then if you want a copy — see our Privacy Policy for retention periods.
Cancelling your Vantr subscription does not remove content already published to a third-party platform, and does not cancel any subscription you hold directly with a platform.
5.Statutory right of withdrawal (EU, EEA and UK)
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of entering it, without giving a reason.
Because Vantr is supplied digitally and immediately, we ask you to expressly request that supply begin during the withdrawal period, and to acknowledge that by doing so you will lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. Where you have made that request and we have begun supplying the service, your withdrawal right is limited accordingly.
Where you withdraw within the 14-day period and supply has begun with your consent, you may be charged a proportionate amount for the service actually provided up to the point of withdrawal. Where supply has not begun, you receive a full refund.
To withdraw, email support@vantr.app within 14 days, stating clearly that you wish to withdraw. You may use the model withdrawal form set out in the Consumer Rights Directive, but you are not required to. We will confirm receipt and refund within 14 days of being informed, using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you.
These rights apply to consumers only. They do not apply where you subscribe in the course of a business or profession.
6.Refunds
Outside the statutory right above, we will refund in the following circumstances:
- a technical fault attributable to Vantr that materially prevented you from using the Service for a sustained period, and that we could not resolve;
- a duplicate or clearly erroneous charge;
- a renewal charged after you had cancelled, or after a cancellation request we failed to action;
- where we terminate your subscription for a reason other than your breach of our Terms, in which case we refund prepaid fees covering the period after termination.
We do not generally refund for a change of mind partway through a paid period, for forgetting to cancel before a renewal, or where a third-party platform restricted, rejected or removed your content — since that is the platform's decision and not a fault in the Service.
That said, we would rather keep this reasonable than technically correct. If you were charged for a period you plainly did not use and you write to us promptly, ask — we will look at it on its facts.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. The time for the money to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, typically 5 to 10 business days.
7.How to request a refund
Email support@vantr.app from the address on your account, with the charge date and amount, and a short description of what happened.
We aim to respond within five business days. If we decline a request we will explain why, and, if you are a consumer, tell you what other rights you may have — including your right to complain to a consumer protection body or, in the EU, to use the Online Dispute Resolution platform.
8.Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. We can usually resolve it faster than a dispute process.
We may suspend an account with an unresolved chargeback until the dispute is settled, since the funds for that period have been reversed.
9.Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The effective date at the top of this document records when the current version took effect. A change does not affect a refund request already submitted.
