Vantr vs Metricool: analytics depth against business tooling
Metricool is analytics-led and priced by how many brands you manage. Vantr is business-led with analytics attached. The distinction decides which fits.

Metricool is the most analytics-forward tool in this comparison set, and it has a free tier, which is rarer than it should be. Its pricing is built around a unit most tools do not use: the brand.
Pricing
Metricool's published plans:
| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 / month | Manage 1 brand |
| Starter | From $20 / month billed yearly | Up to 5 brands; $25 / month billed monthly |
| Advanced | From $53 / month billed yearly | Up to 15 brands; $67 / month billed monthly |
| Custom | Contact them |

The unit is "brands", meaning distinct accounts or clients you manage. If you run several clients, that model is honest and scales sensibly. If you are one creator with one brand that happens to exist on 12 platforms, you are paying for a dimension you do not use.
Vantr is $12, $29 or $49 a month per workspace with every channel included, and a free tier. Vantr has a free tier. It is not a trial that expires: you can connect a channel, schedule posts and use the creator profile without paying, and the paid plans start at $12 a month.
What Metricool does better
Analytics depth and reporting. This is the product's centre and it shows. If your job involves producing recurring reports for other people, Metricool is built for that.
Competitor tracking, which Vantr has in a narrower form.
The multi-brand model, if you genuinely manage several.
What Vantr does that Metricool does not
The same gap as the rest of this category: Metricool tells you how content performed. It does not carry the deal that paid for the content.
No pipeline, no deliverables with due dates, no invoices, no contracts, no earnings. Vantr's analytics sit next to income deliberately, so a month reads as reach and revenue at once rather than as two unconnected stories.
On analytics honesty
Worth knowing about both. Vantr refuses to show a comparison against a period it was not observing. If it started reading your account two weeks ago, it will not report a change against last month, because it does not know what last month was.
That means Vantr occasionally shows less than a competitor would. The number it withholds is one it would have to invent.
Who should pick Metricool
You manage several brands or clients. Reporting is a deliverable in your work. Analytics depth is the thing you are buying and the money side is handled elsewhere.
Who should pick Vantr
You are one creator across many platforms. You take brand deals and want them tracked with the content. You would rather have good analytics attached to a business tool than excellent analytics attached to nothing else.
Two different definitions of "how am I doing"
This is the real split, underneath the feature lists.
Metricool answers the content question well: which posts worked, on which platform, against which competitor, over which period. If that question is your job, it is built for you.
Vantr assumes the question behind the question is usually financial. A creator asking how last month went generally means both "did the content land" and "did I make anything". A tool that answers only the first half leaves you opening a spreadsheet to finish the thought, and that spreadsheet is where deadlines get missed.
Neither framing is wrong. They just produce different products.
Common questions
Are Vantr's analytics as deep as Metricool's? No. Metricool is analytics-led and goes further, particularly on reporting. Vantr covers views, likes, comments, shares, followers and per-post detail across 12 platforms, with income alongside.
Does Metricool have a free plan? Yes, for one brand. So does Vantr. Both are worth trying before paying.
Which is better value for one creator? Vantr, generally, because Metricool prices by brands and a single creator only has one, so the dimension you pay for is not the one you use. If you manage several clients, that reverses.
Does Vantr track competitors? In a narrower form than Metricool.
Why does Vantr sometimes show fewer comparisons? Because it refuses to compare against a period it was not observing. It would rather show nothing than show a change it cannot stand behind.
