A media kit is the document a brand asks for when they want to know whether working with you makes sense. Audience, numbers, previous work, and usually rates.
What belongs in one
- Who your audience is, briefly. Not just how many.
- Median views per platform. Not followers alone, and not your best month.
- Engagement, with the definition you used stated.
- Examples of past work, ideally including a brand deal.
- Rates, or at least a starting point.
The problem with the format
A media kit is out of date the day after you export it. Most creators redo theirs occasionally, which means the version being sent is usually understating what they are worth by several months of growth.
A live page solves that and has a second advantage: numbers a brand can see are current are harder to dismiss than a PDF you assembled yourself.
If you only fix one thing
Lead with median views instead of follower count. It is the number a brand is actually buying, and for most creators it is the one that makes the better case. There is a full guide to building one.
