"Just post more" is the worst advice in the creator world. Posting five bad things a day won't grow you — it'll burn you out. Here's how to actually think about frequency.

The honest platform guidelines

These are healthy starting points, not laws:

  • TikTok: 1–3x per day. The algorithm rewards volume here more than anywhere.
  • Instagram Reels: 4–7x per week.
  • YouTube Shorts: 3–7x per week; long-form 1x per week.
  • X / Threads: several times a day — these are conversation platforms.
  • LinkedIn: 2–5x per week.
  • Pinterest: daily pinning, but it's evergreen, so it's low-pressure.

But consistency beats volume — every time

A creator who posts 3x a week every week for a year will out-grow one who posts 3x a day for two weeks and then vanishes. The algorithm rewards reliability, and so does your audience. Pick a cadence you can actually sustain on a bad week.

Quality gates volume

More posts only help if each one clears a bar. If posting daily means your content gets lazy, post less and make each one count. Views follow value, not frequency alone.

How to hit a schedule without living in your apps

The reason most creators can't stay consistent isn't laziness — it's that posting to five platforms every day is a genuine time sink. Two things fix that:

  1. Batch. Film a week of content in one session when you're in the zone.
  2. Schedule. Queue it all at once so "posting" isn't a daily chore.

This is the entire reason scheduling tools exist. With Vantr you upload once, write the caption once, and it goes out everywhere on the cadence you set — so consistency stops depending on you remembering to post at 6pm.

Find the frequency you can keep forever, then keep it. That's the whole game.
