How to grow on LinkedIn as a creator

LinkedIn is the most underrated platform for creators — less competition, higher-value audience, and real money in the B2B niche. Here's how to start.

When creators think "platforms," LinkedIn is usually last on the list — right after "isn't that just for job hunting?" That's exactly why it's an opportunity. Less competition, a wealthier audience, and brands with real budgets. Here's how to grow there.

Why LinkedIn is worth your time

  • The audience has money. LinkedIn is full of professionals, founders, and decision-makers. For the right niche, that audience is worth far more per follower than general social.
  • Organic reach is still strong. LinkedIn actively pushes creator content, and the feed is less saturated than TikTok or Instagram. A good post reaches real numbers without paid help.
  • B2B brand deals pay well. Software, finance, and professional brands sponsor LinkedIn creators — and those deals often dwarf lifestyle rates.

What actually works there

Text posts still rule

Unlike video-first platforms, LinkedIn rewards well-written text posts. A strong opening line, short punchy paragraphs, and a genuine insight or story outperform polished graphics. If you can write, you have an edge here.

Hook the first two lines

The feed only shows the first line or two before "…see more." Those lines are your hook — make them earn the click, exactly like a short-video opener.

Teach and tell stories

The content that travels on LinkedIn is useful or personal: a lesson learned, a mistake and what it taught you, a specific how-to. Save the pure entertainment for other platforms; here, insight wins.

Be a person, not a résumé

The old corporate-speak is dead. The creators winning on LinkedIn write like humans — opinions, real experiences, a point of view. Professional doesn't mean stiff.

Post consistently and engage

Same rules as anywhere: show up regularly and actually talk to people. Comment thoughtfully on others' posts in your space — LinkedIn's comment sections are genuinely a growth channel, and meaningful replies get you noticed by the right people.

Cross-post, don't start from zero

You don't need an entirely separate content operation. The insights behind your videos often make great LinkedIn text posts — reformat, don't reinvent. If you're already creating for other platforms, LinkedIn is a high-value place to repurpose that thinking to an audience most creators are ignoring. That neglect is your opening.
